#ugh never getting over the way Stiles is back at his side #looping Derek’s arm over his head #before Derek even knows what’s happening to him #or how insulted Stiles is when he realizes that Derek thinks he only did it to save his own life #and the way he looks around the first time they surface #because he doesn’t know the kanima can’t swim yet #and Stiles fucking Stilinski is planning on trying to swim away from that monster while carrying a full grown werewolf #there’s a fine line between brave and stupid #and love (or loyalty #or compassion #or whatever you want to call it) #takes that line and smears it all over the place #gets them all mixed up in one another #and I’m never getting over the part where the only benefit to staying was that Derek wouldn’t die alone
